Pizza All Day Long
Could anyone really eat pizza all day long? When you were younger and you discovered it to be one of your favorite foods, you thought about eating it all day, you may have even tried it, but nowadays, pizza can be enjoyed from breakfast to desert at the end of the day in many ways. You may not want to try these recipes in the same day, but finding your own variation for your own day of dough delights can be as adventurous as you want them to be.
First, breakfast is touted as the most important meal of the day. After all, by the time you wake up, you likely haven't eaten for eight, nine, or ten hours. So it's critical to start your day with a well-balanced meal. Although a regular slice including veggies and proteins can get your day started, you may want some classic breakfast flavors in a slice format. This is when a waffle base covered with yogurt and fruit or salsa and scrambled eggs sounds like a new age slice.
Second is lunch, its smack dab in the middle of the day and it can fuel you over the hump of midday energy slump. So, you can turn to the same balance of whole grains, protein, and vegetables/fruit to satisfy you. With whole grain pita bread, you can use a tomato sauce and top it with mozzarella and spinach for your protein and veggie combo. It won't make you sleepy and it will help you with those moments that require you to think fast on your feet.
Thirdly, dinner is the most gratifying meal of the day because after a day of healthy and energy packed meals, you have a little more room for carbohydrates. You can sit back and enjoy a Mexican style pizza with refried beans, rice, salsa, cheddar cheese, avocado, and lettuce all baked together.
Last, but certainly not least, is desert. You've heard of the desert pizza, but have you tried one? It's the meeting of mascarpone, Gouda, or blue cheese with your favorite fruits, such as pears, apples, or plums. Everything can maintain the integrity of its individual flavor while melting together slightly. That is what any type or style of pizza is really. Each bite allows only a couple or one ingredient to shine. It's a food that brings many different elements in layers to one hot dish to satisfy multiple aspects of your palette before you can finish even one slice.
